Question about product page layout and side menu on website? - al x - 06-03-2014 12:55 AM

Anyone know if it is better for product pages to have a menu on the side or for the menu to be removed from the product pages?

Trying to figure out what might be better for itestcash.com Currently the side bar stays for product pages.

Thanks

It could go either way, depending on the est of the page layout, one bigger issue you might consider is how your pages look on small mobile browsers, where a simplified view makes more sense, there are "responsive" site layouts that automatically adjust the layout to fit the browser window, it could for example rearrange your 2 columns of products to just one tall one.

While you probably don't get as many on the go shoppers as a retail site, there is a trend toward an increased number of views from mobile devices. Your site log files or tracking utility can identify the browser and device that your visitors are using.

Here's a tool that previews your site on different screens
