I am helping a new business start up their website. It's an ezine and their target audience is female, 18-25.
I have never done anything with advertising before, no clue what to say, how to say it, or who to say it to.
What type of companies could I target? What do I say?
Anything, obviously, is appreciated.

is your site up and running? if not you might want to try a magazine template with wordpress. Some RSS feeds might help. Wordpress has several plugins for Search Engine Optimization. Join a social network, MySpace, Facebook, etc, make some friends but don't advertise to them till later, you can put a link "The Website" in the "Places I work Section", you could also use a background and/or banner with the brand and whatever product you are selling so that your "friends" might be curious about this website/brand and check it out. Once again I repeat do all this very "inadvertently" in other words don't make your profile look like an ad.
