Can I use/access apps (on a Microsoft Surface 2 for example) when not connected to the internet? - Green Eyed Girl - 06-04-2014 01:21 AM

I'm completely clueless to how tablets and laptop/tablet hybrids work. I don't have a smart phone so I just have no experience with it. I'm mainly thinking of buying a Microsoft Surface 2. I don't plan on buying a Sim Card or whatever is needed to access the internet anywhere I go like a smart phone. But do downloaded apps still work when you're not around an internet connection?

I seriously understand VERY LITTLE technological lingo so please reply like you're talking to a complete idiot who doesn't know the basics, because you pretty much are!

If the app is not online based ( example: Microsoft Word), you can use it anywhere but if the app is online based and NEEDS a internet connection to launch, well no. If the app is a game, the multiplayer features will be unavailable but the singleplayer will be available.

Hope I helped!
