Screen recorder for Chromebooks? - 336 - 06-05-2014 05:03 PM

does anyone know of any screen recorders that are able to be downloaded on acer chromebooks? I want to start posting speedpaints on youtube, but I cant do that unless I have a screen recorder.

Unless there's a chrome extension (doubt it though) then sorry but you can't, you can't install software on chrome books, if you somehow manage it it won't be smooth and the chrome book might restore itself as it checks for any unauthorised programs. You could try a web based screen recorder but not bandicam or fraps etc as chromebooks do not support this

if your chrome book as a sd card slot then download it to the sd card then use your smart phone or a windows based computer to post...

Hi, to answer your question, with reference to my quick research (which I've attached in the Source below), you can click Control + Shirt + F5. But since there is no F5 on acer chromebooks (I think), the corresponding key for the F5 is the 'Switch Windows' key. I hope I have answered your question.

Give this a shot: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/screencastify-screen-vide/mmeijimgabbpbgpdklnllpncmdofkcpn

I don't think the audio recording works very well on the Samsung and HP 11 Chromebooks.
