Hi Tammy,
If you want immediate traffic, Google Adwords, Bing Ad, Facebook Ad or any sort of paid advertisement will help you genereate a good amount of traffic "fast." You are basically paying for traffic for a short a mount of time and if people like your website/content, they will remember it and come back in the future.
If you want free traffic and consistant, then creating content and do SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
