some girl friend request me is it rude to send her a message saying " Sorry I don't mean to be rude but do I know you?"
I looked at her profile to see if She looks familiar but she didn't but she did work at the same place as my boyfriend.

Well, if you don't know her, I don't think asking her if you know her is rude in any way. And anyways, facebook friendship doesn't matter that much with the people you don't know. So, accept or decline, it's in your hands. Your boyfriend will understand.

If you don't know her, don't friend her. Simple as that. No need to waste time agonizing over it.
