Does this Craigslist caller sound real? - Someone - 06-06-2014 11:48 AM

So I give guitar lessons and use Craigslist to advertise. Yesterday I received a text that kind of sounded like it was from the typical spammer, the only difference was it came from a local area code. It read word for word "Hello I'm would like rates for my son for all your time sessions. We're located off military and lantana. Thank you" with their first name signed. I responded saying to call me if they were interested and surprisingly they did. She seemed like a nice woman with maybe a slight accent, but she explained to me the story about her son wanting to learn so I wound up scheduling a trial lesson.

What was a little odd was that she asked me what my rate was even though I said it on the ad. I also specified that I come to my students' home and she still asked how I do my lessons. She was also ambitious enough to ask for two a week already even though I recommend one. At the end she asked if I had a website (which I don't) and instead wanted me to send her a picture of my business card. I did it, being as anything on there she already knew from Craigslist (I assume she was trying to make sure I was real), and she sent me her address directly after which wound up being over a half hour drive. Does it seem legit?
