Build 1080p movie player with Raspberry Pi? - 987 - 06-06-2014 04:36 PM Would it work? What would you suggest as components? I need portable movie player I can watch 1080p movies on. - David - 06-06-2014 04:39 PM I think it is better to ask this on their forums. As far as I remember there are read OS's for HTPC that run on Raspberry Pi and they do support FULL HD - 1080p - Greywolf - 06-06-2014 04:48 PM The GPU on the Pi was originally intended for a Blue-Ray player, so it definitely supports 1080p video. There are two free ready-to-run media player systems for the Pi (RaspBMC and OpenElec) - downloads here http://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads. Google those names for setup instructions. Components? An HDMI cable to connect the Pi to the TV, and an internet connection for the Pi if you are downlaoding, or a USB-connected DVD/Blue-Ray player if you are playing discs. - Shahida - 06-06-2014 04:53 PM You can view the item at no cost utilizing: http://is.gd/bestflix |
