Okay, so theres this really hot guy in my class. I asked him to be my partner for a project but he said no. I think it's because he already had one of his's friends working with him. Anyways the next day it was my birthday and he wished my happy birthday on Facebook. I thought this was adorable because i dont talk to him that much so he must see something in me. Any ways a few days later I asked my friend to ask him if he wanted to be in our group. He once again said no because he was already working in a group.
I stare at him a lot but he also occasionally looks at me

He probably likes you. Did he seem sad, guilty or dissapointed that he couldn't be your partner for the project or be in your group? If he did, he DEFINITELY likes you. He clearly cares about you otherwise he wouldn't have wished you a Happy Birthday.

He does not have as much feelings for you as you do for him...

I'm sorry to say this, but you need more infromation than that to think that he likes you. There are always two possibilities that he is acting like that:
Choice 1: When he said happy birthday to you on facebook he was probably being nice and probably not interested
Choice 2: He likes you but is too shy to want to be your partner and his friend is getting in the way. The is he really wants to be with you but is a shy guy. But he was brave enough to say happy birth day to you on facebook. And he is probably talking about you right now if he likes you.
