hey friends i had made a sitemap html page by this site xml-sitemaps.com/ and i downloaded it and uploaded it to my root folder of my website but google webmaster is not publishing it whenever i am trying to publish its says error html file is not supported by search engines what to do now.

What is the file name you used for your site map?
The site map needs to be in a .xml format not html.

You can only submit XML sitemap in Google Webmaster. Please Recheck!

Hello Sourabh
Google Webmaster does not support HTML sitemap. It supports on XML sitemap. Create it with sitemap creators, and then upload it onto the root folder. Finally, submit the XML sitemap to GWT, and you're done.

We can submit only xml sitemap in google webmaster tools. Check again there is no any option for xml sitemap.
