Easily it will take 1 year

Depends on the keyword. If it's a large search-volume keyword like "cars" or "computers" then you will almost certainly NEVER make it.

For my name, however, I was able to get PR 1 in about a week.

Actually page rank seems to be mainly effected by the number and power of incoming links, I believe an active site might hit pr1 in a couple months, although it has become harder than a few years ago.

Be aware that Google only updates page rank about 5 times a year, less frequently lately, s the fruits of your effort may not immediately be apparent.

There was nearly 10 months of no update before the last Nov 29, 2013 update, this should be taken as a sign that Google has depreciated PR.

I think this time is not about how much PR your website have, it's now about domain authority and page authority of your site.

Without backlinks, it will take forever to increase your PR. As always, it depends on the quantity and especially on quality of the backlinks. So there is no certain answer. Good luck!

1 year approx time is required for getting the PR of any website.
