in the separate parts and stuff? and can you only do it on the iphone instagram?

It looks like they've used another app to do that, I don't think Instagram can actually do that yet. The first photo has an Instagram filter on it by the look of it.

Surely you mean "WHY" do people to that to their photos.
They are crap and if that is the limit of your ambitions in photography then give up now.

They used another app called Pic Stitch.
