How much does an ad in the paper cost!? - Alexandra - 06-08-2014 11:09 PM

If I wanted to put a small ad in the paper for a babysitting business, how much could that cost?

I was thinking a local paper, anyone have any idea on how much it would be?

It depends on paper to paper and region to region..
Goto to the Newspaper website. It has to be mentioned over there about advertising cost.
Sometimes also available on the newspaper..

Do not do this.
If you are a minor, keep your mom involved.
There are perverts out there looking for just this type of thing.
They will get you to go to their home all alone .......

Advertise locally. Walk around your neighborhood and see who has swing sets in their back yards. On a saturday, ring doorbells. Introduce yourself. Hand out flyers.

It depends on:

- circulation of the newspaper
- size of the ad
- location of the newspaper

It can be anywhere from $50 to $150 or more

Explore many ways to post cheaper ads -- e.g. your local supermarkets, Craigslist.

Also network, network, network. Tell your friends that you are available to babysit. Ask your parents to tell their friends. Spread the word around. You're better off with word of mouth marketing as this is a business that a parent would rather hire someone recommended by a person they trust, rather than an ad in a newspaper
