I don't know that you an get too specific, shared hosting accounts can be typically found on one of the reverse internet IP address lookup services that report the number of other sites share the same IP address, a site on a dedicated server will not be sharing it's IP.

A whois lookup of the domain name shows the name server of the name, which typically identifies the hosting company. Shared accounts may have the host as their domain name registrar as well.

1. Go to reverseinternet.com
2. Enter the domain name for Eg: http://www.domainname.com and click enter.
3. then you will find the field called "IP address", click on the ip address
4. you will get the result with different domain name hosted in same ip address.
5. you can find whether multiple domain names are hosted in the same ip address.
6. if multiple domain names are hosted in the same ip address, it is probably a shared server.
