Yes there is , once you wait about 15 minutes after the plane as arrived in the air, you can turn on, or you can just double check with the flight stweardess when you are allowed to turn on the computer. But for sure i know there will be internet connection.

There's currently no internet on most airplanes. They've just started a pilot program with a few airlines to provide wireless. If you happened to be on one of those flights, which are mostly international from my understanding, you wouldn't need a wireless card, because you have to turn that off. You would plug your laptop into a port.

Jet Blue is offering it on limited flights. Quantas was offering it on international flights a while ago, but other airlines aren't picking up until later this year.

nope...at least not right now. Most flights dont have internet connection. Some airlines are testing internet service out on some of their flights, but not all.

Not on any flights I've been on. Call the airlines or visit their website and see if they have a FAQ.
