what is a good domain name for a website that rents homes? - ANABEL - 06-10-2014 04:09 PM

I would like a domain name that uses the word homes, is easy to remember, short. To be used for a page that has a list of my rental homes in different states. EX: nicehomes.com myhomes.com goodhomes.com (all of these are of course taken) and any others I try. So I need something unique and catchy.

There are sites with tools that help you come up with fictitious names, including: wordlab.com, naming.net, wordoid.com, lingzini.com, namestation.com, some of these tools look up the domain name availability as you go.
Any name not already used in a .com web site name is probably not trademarked.

The Godaddy Bulk Search tool is handy for checking the availability of a list of names at a time.

To get the max return what may be a significant advertising budget to get customers, you might consider setting up a brokerage/referral site where you pass on prospects you can't use.
Also consider setting up different dedicated sites for your different cities, while it's diluting your promotion effort to some degree, you will find it easier to get free serch traffic when a city is included in the domain name and site content, a few chamber of congress sort of articles on the town herps get more search traffic, goodHomesTopica.com is more likely to be available as well.
