No follow Backlinks query? - 324 - 06-10-2014 09:44 PM

If i offer multiple "no follow" back links from my website to a particular website will that affect my SEO or will Google penalize me?

No it won't affect seo nor Google will penalize me.

On applying rel="nofollow", only link juice will not pass to that links. That means no PR will pass to linked links.

So, rel="nofollow" is must to have tag.

It won't affect your SEO and you will not be penalized.
Google recommends using nofollow tags on links which you do not want to send your link juice to.
Such as affiliate links and such...

The above two answers are incorrect. NoFollow DOES indeed affect your SEO. It is actually good. Mainly, to offer anchor text variety in back links going to your website. And secondly, to make for a more natural back linking profile. Naturally there will be sites that offer no follow links, so if you have 100 linking sites with no nofollow links, it looks lower quality

everything you do in the field of links/follow/nofollow affects your seo. the rule: act human. Cheating google is less and less easy and more and more risky!
