Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (fb) isn't associated with any program.? - Skeletality - 06-11-2014 06:24 AM

i was on facebook, got a notification that someone had posted on my wall, clicking on it resulted in a new tab opening, and a popup box saying "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (fb) isn't associated with any program."

i figured i would test it, and tried again, same thing.

i clicked a few different notifications, all of them worked, except the one that did what i described before, it did it every time. what happened here?

somebody typed fb://whatever instead of http://whatever

Instead of clicking on it, right-click and do Copy link location, then paste it in the URL bar and remove the fb:// from the front of it.
