A question about domain name trading? - Samantha - 06-11-2014 08:25 PM

I recently learned about this and I'm interested in learning more, has anyone made good money from this? Is http://www.sedo.com a good site to trade with?

Sedo is a big name in that business. Some domain speculators making a living from it invest in large inventories of domains, perhas covering their annual cost by 'parking' them as paid directories.

For lower value domain names the godaddy auction may do.

There certainly is a lot of money to be made in the "domain flipping" arena.

It is actually possible to pick up high PR domains for very little money. I have seen expired domains bought for $10 only to be "flipped" for $2,000 in some cases, if you know where to look.

Sedo.com & DNForum.com are 2 of the best places for trading, but you could spend hours searching through their listings for the right names. however there is software you can use to help you find cheap domain names in half the time.
