I have just reinstalled Windows XP, now my internet connection will not work. I have plugged in the cable and tried the create new connection thing and it says its connected but its not working. the equipment being used Siemens speedstream 4100 and a linksys broadband router. If someone could give me a step by step on how to get this functioning that would be fantastic.
how do I get drivers?

whats it say exactly? not found? did you install the drivers? for the internet hardware?you update the xp?sounds like a driver problem, go to yer device manager, see if everything is enabled!

This has happened to me tons of times. I have reintalled windows numerous times and the internet connection didn't work. The sole problem is the network driver. You HAVE to install the driver or it can't work. Download it from another computer from the internet. Then transfer it and install it.
