What's Facebook's copyright policy for artwork? - Matthew - 11-09-2012 08:26 AM

I often post my paintings to share with friends and other painters on Facebook. But I wonder how safe they are there. I read through their policies, but am not sure I understand the implications. They say they have the right to use your images as long as you have them up on Facebook, I'm paraphrasing, but that's what I understood. Does anyone know more about this?

any pictures you upload to facebook, they have the rights to use however they wish. You still own the picture, but they can use it, sell it, whatever they want, without your knowledge or consent.

They have the temporary right to use them. Possibly. But every picture you tag, ends up in the picture collection, of each of your tagged friends. That I can tell you, from experience.
