Is it possible to start a blog within my main webdomain? - Arkâ„¢ - 06-12-2014 10:59 AM

Hi,

I just started my website a few days before. Now i would like to create a blog within my website. Some thing like a blog.domainname.com. I want to create a blog page that is something like a sub domain of my main website.

Is it possible to create such a thing?

It is very easy, if your hosting company supports sub domains, create blog.yourdomain.com and instal wordpress from the CPANEL using Fantastico. It will take 2 minutes only. Or you can also isntall any other CMS or an HTML site. Wordpress is just my favorite.

It is possible. Just create a subdomain and name it whatever you like. There are many blogging platforms to choose from such as CuteNews, FanUpdate, Wordpress etc. Choose one you wish to use, I would say Wordpress is one of the easiest but hardest to code your own themes for.

Install whichever one onto the subdomain. If you have Softaculous on your cPanel then perfect, it'll be easy for Wordpress and others but if not you'll have to install them manually which isn't too hard.

Yes, you can create a blog within main web domain.

For Example:

Blogger/BlogSpot and Wordpress is a web domain and you can start your own blog under Blogger or Wordpress.
