Google Chrome does not respond when I open any page, but Firefox works fine
I do lot of facebooking on Google Chrome.......

If your internet is OK then Clean your system and particularly browsers with Reginout to fix this.

a) You will have to clear your cache, download history and even your download folder, your DNS, etc.

b) Click & Clean (free) which is an extension of Google Chrome. It is more thorough than the other program and first method, but it can create problems for disconnecting from the Internet if you have like me a WAN or a Mobile Broadband Internet connection. However, it removes flash cookies, silver cookies not just the regular ones, etc. Besides it works also for Incognito mode. Here is the download and information links:

c) Another tip when you cannot access the Internet because of the DND Prefetching cache in GC:
