It's my first blog. It's just a hobby. It's on blogger.com. I'm not sure how to get more views but I had forgotten about it and pulled it up today to see the views.
Is that a decent figure for 6 months up with no promotion whatsoever?

well 6 months = half a year (182)
4562 divided by 182 =
if we round it to the nearest ten = 180 and 4560
and divide 4560 by 180 you get 25.33 views per day
so for a first blog I think you done pretty good

It depends who is counting. If it is page views that's OK. If it is hits that probably translates to about 1-2 visitors a day.
If the system that is doing the counting does not recognise crawlers then most of your visitors could simply be bots from Google, etc.
Get Google Analytics installed to get the real picture.
