Why does "amazon.com" keep visiting my website?

I keep seeing their visits over and over, here are the last 3, all from IP 54.241.89.133

I'm assuming it's a webcrawler, and I understand why google would use one, buy why amazon???

I really don't have any special information on that and can only guess that they were given your site as an affiliate sales candidate that their system is reviewing for approval.

I looked into it:
aranhabot , amzn_assoc appear to be the names of the Amazon.com robot for checking their affiliate sites

There is a thread discussing the myterious robot traffic from AWS (the amazon cloud web services division).
