I would like to find a support group so i have a better understanding of this.. I'm getting really impatient and don't know how to help my sibling out one in Reno NV.. or a website that tells me wheres one

absolutely. i would look into an organization called NAMI (national alliance on mental illness) they have support groups all over the us and their groups are specific to mental illnesses. im sure theres a group near you and if not, they can probably recommend other groups that may not be as well known.

my mom got a lot of help from them through their support groups for dealing with both of our bipolar disorder.

Have you asked the school if the person is still in school? division of developmental disabilities?

check on http://www.ndss.org/ for contact info.
get involved in special olympics or other recreation activities
down syndrome is not mental illness....

Well there is support services out there for families with loved ones with Down Syndrome. Have you tried looking on Facebook to see if there is anything in Nevada?
Like keyword: Reno Nevada Down Syndrome
Also look Down Syndrome Family Nevada.
You can also check with your local Easter Seals human service agency to see if they have support groups for those with Down Syndrome. Best of Luck!

If you also go to the home page, it looks like this group has lots of great information and services.
Facebook has great pages if you just need to chat with someone, though I'll have to be honest, I am in a couple of FB groups, my son has autism, and like FB, there can be way too much judgment and drama within some of these groups. And you don't get a chance to meet up in person as you would with the link above.
