ive already checked off the option to turn off alerts while im logged in on my computer but that doesnt seem to work.... i want the alerts while at night while im away from my computer but cant figure it out someone please help i was extremely close to snapping my laptop in half about 15 minutes ago...

Go log in at FACEBOOK.COM in your laptop or PC and try these steps:
1. Click on settings (TOP RIGHT AND LOOKS LIKE A LOCK WITH THREE LINES NEXT TO IT)
2. Click on SEE MORE SETTINGS
3. Click on MOBILE (LEFT SIDE COLUMN)
4. Click on EDIT Facebook Messages
5. Choose option NEVER
