No, not typically... but marketers commonly run campaigns aiming to just get you to opt-in and submit your email address (which is required by US Can-Spam regulations before they can send promotional email messages) with future earnings from making sales or sending paid advertising messages from other companies.

No , just by registering they cannot earn money, if you start selling your company product via their web site then only they can earn.
