Clear your browsing history to delete the following information from Google Chrome and your computer:
Web addresses you've visited, listed on the History page
Cached text of those webpages
Snapshots of those webpages for images that appear on the New Tab page
IP addresses pre-fetched from those webpages
It doesn't clear cookies or your download history.
Clear history for a specific day
Click the Tools menu. If you're using a Mac and the menu isn't visible on the toolbar, select History on the menu bar.
Select History.
Click Delete history for this day for the day you want to clear.
Clear history for a longer period of time
Windows and Linux instructions
Click the Tools menu.
Select Options.
Click the Personal Stuff tab.
Click Clear browsing data.
Make sure the "Clear browsing history" checkbox is selected.
Use the "Clear data from this period" menu to select the amount of data you want to delete.
Click Clear Browsing Data.
Mac instructions
Select Chrome > Clear Browsing Data on the menu bar.
Make sure the "Clear browsing history" checkbox is selected.
Use the "Clear data from this period" drop-down menu to select the amount of data you want to delete.
Click Clear Browsing Data.
Clear history from your address bar
To prevent matches to your browsing history from appearing in the address bar, follow the steps above to clear your entire browsing history.
