Facebook relationship status privacy? - Superstar - 11-09-2012 08:30 AM

is there a way to change my privacy settings on Facebook so if I change my relationship status, certain people can't see that on their news feed & my profile??

I know how to hide relationship status on my wall (where it says if i'm single, taken, etc)

but what im trying to change is who can see the UPDATE of it?

any help?

If you have to hide it from anyone, that means there's something shady about it and you shouldn't be putting it out there.

No, why would you want to hide it, you ashamed of your partner? :|

it would only show up on the newsfeed to the people you allow it to be seen by.

You can change who sees your posts, but I don't think you can restict it to only hide some posts. One option would be to hide all your posts from the ppl you don't want to see it then after you change your relationship status re-allow them to see posts...

You Go on your profile > Edit profile >Friends and family
in the same line of " Relationship Status " on the right you will see an icone with dropdown menu to select who can see your relationship status and updates from Lists
