Advertising for Lawn Care.? - Landen Jones - 06-17-2014 06:48 AM

I'm starting a Lawn Care company this summer. It's just myself and a few friends doing the work. I'm just trying to find the most effective way to advertise for our little thing we're trying to start. I have the availability of business cards (Vista Print) that I can distribute. I'm just looking for the best way to find out how to spread the word for the best results.

Plan on 100 or more handouts per new customer. Craigslist.org free ads might be useful, if you could provide an actual business address you could get into a lot of business directories, a free Google Place page perhaps being the most important for local ranking.
Since your physical appearance is needed, door hanger sort of flyers may give the in the neighborhood feel. The USPS has a special program for sending a piece to every address on a mail route for about 18 cents each, no addressing or postage is needed, lowering their cost as well as making it easier for you.

https://www.usps.com/business/every-door-direct-mail.htm you might look a bit more professional with actual mailed flyers.

Try using banner ads or posters and get a permit from your local to post it in your area. But before that, you have to come up with a good design first and have it printed by cheap but quality printing company. Decide for large size banners so that people will clearly see the details of your business.

Market locally by utilizing flyers, your business cards, and craigslist. Combine marketing efforts with other services, and don't underestimate the power of word of mouth. Once you acquire a few customers ask them to refer their neighbors and friends to you.

You can try to get all forms of advertising, both online and offline. You can create flyers, brochures, contests. Online ads in local area directories and banners on high traffic websites are also great. Social media pages such as Facebook or Twitter will also help.
