When I "attend" an event on Facebook, my timeline stays the same, there are no "xxx went to an event." posts. How to make them appear again?
"The new Facebook timeline will make most things public for everyone to view". You must be kidding guys, check your privacy settings and what is public.

timeline sometimes doesn't shows something...we can make it appear...try again by clicking no in the rspv of event and yes again...may be it will appear

Facebook timeline sucks. That is why several people are just deleting it. It will become history like Myspace. Facebook do not care what the users want and they don't even listen to the users.
The new Facebook timeline will make most things public for everyone to view. And when people want to hire you, it's not a good idea.
