google vs yahoo seo question? - Eric - 06-17-2014 02:32 PM

my site just came out of the google probation period aka sandbox-- looks like this happened late june early july and since then my over all traffic went DOWN! i thought when you get out of the google sandbox everything is good
up untill may my traffic from search engines looked something like this

yahoo=55%
msn=17%
live=10%
aol=8%
google=10%

now it is this
google 60%
msn=10
live7
aol3
yahoo=20%

AND MY OVERALL TRAFFIC DROPPED LIKE 40% what in the heck is going on?

i have not updated the site in a while could this be the problem?

It can be something else then the search engine...
And search engine are always in movement.
more popular you are more high ranking you will get.

I don't know what happen on your site because I don't know what you did exactlt and how you did it.

But search engine ranking is a real war. so go work on your content and maybe search new promotion way. like make a video and put it on youtube or something.

Good Luck!

first you need to check ,weather all your pages are cache by google or not.if not wait till google index all your pages.you need to submit your site in Dmoz directory and other free directory. you can use this tool to know weather your pages are index or not by google.

The percentages don't help as much as knowing what the numbers are. To determine what is going on, it would take a complete site analysis, but here is what I can tell you to focus on.

1. Make sure your site has original, quality content. This is what both search engines and people coming to your site are looking for.

2. Make sure you develop quality inbound links to your site. Start by making sure you have done sufficient directory and search engine submissions.

The other question would be; has nothing at all changed with the site except for being listed at Google? It doesn't seem logical that your traffic would drop after being indexed in Google, so something else is likely going on.

You must continously keep working on your site..link building is a permanent job, content building is also neccessary
