I have been trying to chat, update statuses and comment on Facebook while using chrome but it isn't working....

Chrome has been working fine for me & in fact, I just used it not that long ago

Chrome does work with facebook. Search in google for updates to the version of chrome you have.
They are still developing the browser.

uninstall your Google Chrome and install that Again . It will work 4sure.
