Follow other people, in turn lets say 60% of them will then follow you in return, then delete them so you have...you follow 0, but have 300 followers :-)

Don't do what that girl said. Twitter is pathetic and pointless if you do that.
Just follow decent people you like and post trends for followers it makes the experience much more fun.
