How do I get this girl off my back? - Nicholas - 06-18-2014 08:41 PM

Basically my youth group met up with another youth group for a weekend and this girl was there and she was acting kinda weird, I spoke to her twice (really short) and almost every time she saw me she said hi. Our youth groups have met up a few times since then and she keeps doing it. And then yesterday she added me on Facebook and I accepted to not be rude or anything as I had added others from her youth group, but almost instantly she starts sending me messages and I'm like, hi, yeah. And she was like "looking forward to seeing you next time" and it's kinda creepy and then she invited me to her baptism and all I know about her is her name and what town she lives in and I didn't reply to the messages incsse it gave her any ideas. And now she is liking photos I'm tagged in and stuff and I don't know how to get her off my back without being rude or making her upset. Any ideas?

She obviously likes you and is trying to become better friends with you.

Alright so I'm a girl and I was thinking about how I would want a guy to deal with this situation, but honestly there is no way your gonna get her to stop without her getting upset.
You could always try just not accepting any of her invites and hopes she gets the idea ( no promises that will work or keep her from getting upset)
Or you could always talk to her about things you hate about a girl and bring up girls who are constantly trying to talk or hang out, that are clingy or wont leave you alone. ( Still no promises there )
BUT these are indirect and might not work, so the best way to deal with this would probably just say
" I honestly don't want to embarrass you or make you upset in anyway, your a super nice girl but your constant messaging is kind of out of control maybe you could lay off a bit? " Obviously she's gonna get upset, but at least you weren't a jerk about it.

NEVER friend someone on facebook that you feel skeezy about or makes you feel skeezy. Don't add them, if they ask why you simply say you don't add everyone that sends a friend request. It's your facebook, you have this right.

That said: Announce you're doing a friend cleanup and delete her.
