Hi Gerald.
They certainly can be. Eco-products are big business right now because a lot of people care a lot about the environment. Anything that gets an emotional response from the consumer is a marketing opportunity!
But you can fail to make a profit it any market space. What really matters is having an internet marketing strategy that compliments the type of customer/user you expect to attract.
Fortunately, I imagine that in this niche, starting a successful blog should be relatively achievable (not easy, but doable).
If you have a genuine interest in the niche and can empathize with others who care about this sort of thing then you should find the niche pretty profitable... Assuming you get your marketing right.
