I know that on Facebook chat you can create different groups and appear online to some and offline to others. If you delete a particular group, what happens to the people in that group? Are they permanently deleted from your Facebook chat or do they go back to the regular list of people online?

No they're not permanently deleted, they do go back to the regular list of people online. So it will be fine to delete the list/lists if you were going to. Hope I helped!!! Take care, regards,
