I suggest being encouraging and helping when you can. Be accepting. People don't want to be preached to, and you will only turn people off by preaching. You've got to form relationships. Be a light.

If you find a good recipe share it. Search online for other methods. I would suggest boiling for a start cause old meat tends to be tough. I imagine it will be a lot of meat so freeze what you can't use in a day or two.
