Like you, loads of people send them messages!
Some might reply, some can't!
and some people stay out of public!
Such people doesn't reply either!

They don't have time to get sucked into it and because people online are crazy.
If he responds to your message, even if it only takes 5 minutes, you might tell your friend that they responded to you. Your friend in turn expects the same treatment so they send a message, however let's say they are not available to send her back a response. Your friend gets upset and in turn goes on a Twitter rant about how that celeb messaged you back directly but some how didn't have the time to message your friend back directly...and that message goes viral.
Therefore because they tried to do the right thing and respond to your one question they instead get 1,000 people thinking that their rude to your friend...so it's just easier to sit back and do nothing.
