That is like asking what is the most expensive car that can have chrome wheels. The bayonet lug is something that comes with the gas block, front sight tower, or just bolt on. You can easily add it to most any AR upper when ever you want.

So far the nicest AR made I know of - is done by Seekins. The have a totally re-designed lower with matching upper - just the stripped upper and lower will cost you $2200 last I checked. Compare to $130 for a standard lower and $89 to $120 for a standard flattop upper. Just google Seekins custom AR and you will find links to their web site.

If $2200 is too little to spend - you can order it as a SBR (short barrel rifle) that will easily add $100 more to handling and $200 more for the tax stamp.

(geez GW...$2200 ? for an incomplete rifle in 556 / 223 ?...not for me, thanks...I'd upgrade to the SCAR 17s for that price and get a 308 round ) Nic..it's your money, so you're free to do whatever with it but there are better choices for you. Email my contact / profile info , let me know your location, budget and conditions for use and we'll see what can be done for your application, ok ?

What does that mean "Highest end"? Most pre-ban ARs will have a bayonet lug.

JP Rifles is pretty common as a top end name for 3 gun sort of AR shooters. LaRue Tactical also is one of the high end companies for an AR, although their focus is more high end field use rifles. LesBaer makes some precision ARs. I'd probably start with those three names.
