ok, well, I honestly don't know how to put a layout on Twitter. A whole bunch of numbers? Does that do anything? Thanks for your help!

Go to http://www.freetweetgraphics.com
Pick a nice layout of choice OR request one at their website, then click the "AUTO INSTALL" button, enter your twitter info and the background will auto upload for you.... If you don't see a background you like at their site, request one and they will make it for you on the same day requested!

Here's a good Twitter background tutorial that you can follow plus they also have lots of ready made and highly customizable Twitter background templates in MS Powerpoint and Adobe Photoshop.
