Don't know why Facebook won't load in Chrome? - 989 - 06-20-2014 08:51 PM
Got a brand new laptop which uses Windows 8.1. Facebook doesn't seem to want to load in Google Chrome for me. The page just continually shows its loading in the tab, but it never loads (believe me, I've waited).
I CAN get it to load in Mozilla Firefox, but it always gives me a message saying there's an unresponsive script (not sure what it is, but it doesn't usually seem to affect Facebook). I mainly want to get FB to load properly in Chrome.
This wasn't a problem for me on my old laptop (which used Windows 7) so I'm at a loss as to why this is happening. As I said, its brand new so I haven't done much with it yet. Clearing the cookies doesn't help either.
Any idea as to why this is happening and how to fix it?

disable extensions you never use (if you have)
uninstall and reinstall
or never use it
just use firefox
