Cat Climbing Shelves in Mobile Home? - 636 - 06-20-2014 10:38 PM I'm new to putting up wall shelves and am wondering if it's possible to put up wall shelving for my 3 cats to climb on in a mobile home. The mobile home is mid 1980's old. Haven't gone through with renting the place just yet so I don't know what type of walling it is yet. Assuming I find studs or paneling in the walls, will it be a good idea to put up wall shelves for a 10 - 15lb cat (or heavier if more than one cat gets on it at once) in these walls? Are there alternatives to this other than buying a lot of ground shelves for them to climb on? False walls? Attaching shelves to floor to ceiling poles like Ikea? - Ice Cat - 06-20-2014 10:48 PM You can, yourself, build a cat tree, cover it with carpeting, and your cat will run up and down it. if you have FB account ours is here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151813308721640&set=pb.692161639.-2207520000.1394676799.&type=3&theater You can take it with you and when you want change the carpeting. We use a spray glue (no staples or nails). Cats love them and they prefer this to furniture for scratching - 818 - 06-20-2014 10:52 PM Get a cat tree with sisal wrapped posts and shelves on it. Most pet shops sell these trees and cats love them. |
