Help my mom is disappointed? - Hannah - 06-21-2014 09:15 AM

Like when she got my my iphone she told me not to get Instagram and than nine weeks later I did.. I'm ashamed now and she found it on my phone, and she said I went by her rules and now I'm old enough since I went by her rules to pay for my phone and I lost her trust.Sad but I told her I'm sorry and she said everyone makes mistakes but she feels distant I said sorry and everything help? Me I'm 14.

Well if you start paying for your phone and pay her back for the phone then she cannot tell you what to do. So its your decision. However, if you arent paying for the phone right now, you should listen to your mom. She just wants to show you what is right. In her head she wants to protect you because there are some pretty bad things on social media websites. She may be a bit dissapointed because you went and did it, but that is to be expected. She also needs to understand that you are growing up. I think if you are honest with her about things and talk to her about making decisions on your own then maybe she will come around and maybe she will open her eyes to seeing that you are growing up Smile

That's stupid! WHat she have against instagram? You can use it responsibly! I think she overreacted!!!! How she think your gonna get money to pay for a phone? I couldn't even work till i hit 15!!!

Dude, she gave you ONE FRICKING RULE, and in all of NINE WEEKS, you broke it.

IT WASN'T EVEN A DIFFICULT RULE.

*shakes head*

And now you're whinging and whining but of COURSE you can't POSSIBLY take responsibility for your actions and accept that rule-breaking has consequences...

Well you should have lost her trust, you did what she told you not to. A messageboard wont fix that.
