If you have Firefox or chrome may have plugins too. But search your browser plugin in at the top of the Firefox or chrome bar and download a plugin Adblock plus. Or try this link . Its mozilla so it's a safe plugin. Oh yeah another thing is you can watch youtube vids without the commercials!

If you are using Firefox, just install this Firefox extension :
Yahoo Mail Hide Ad Panel (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/yahoomailhideadpanel/ )
Those flashing ads along with the space they consume should be gone (Adblock plus doesn't do that). Hope this helps.
