i have a facebook page with over 4k fans... im interested in promoting it so my page grows but my question is... how do you exactly pay for it? does it take money from me from somewhere or what?? i dont really understand how it works on facebooks helps center so dont put me those link cause i already read them but still dont get it...

On the Page Admin Setting you will see a small banner with your page Ad (Only visible to you) on the lower right of the page.
Click on Advertise Here and Complete the forms and billing information.
You will be charged by VISA or MASTER CARD
and that it your page will be promoting and you can also see how many visiters liked your page by advertising and according to it you will pay to facebook.
For Starting , Either go to your FACEBOOK page Admin Setting or go to http://www.facebook.com/advertising
