What to say to a friend i haven't talked to in over a year? Answer fast please? - 266 - 06-23-2014 10:15 PM
I used to go to high school with this guy who i was really close friends with. Since I'm almost a couple years older than him, I graduated while he was still in school. About a year after i graduated, we lost touch. We didn't text, call, or talk on fb anymore. We're still friends on fb but he nor i has said a word to each other for a year. I think it had something to do with the girl he was dating. It would keep him from hanging out with a lot of his friends, especially the ones outside of school. I'd like to start talking to him again, before i move a couple thousand miles away out of state, maybe meet up for coffee or something. What do i say to him? Like, "Hey i haven't talked to you in so long. What's been going on?" or something like that? I'd like to message him as soon as possible before it's too late in the day. What should i ask him also? I think he used to like me before he started dating that girl because he was always wanting to hang out. They broke up like 3 months ago so maybe he's changed and actually able (not to say she way the problem) to hang out with his other friends outside of school. Please help.
I'm 20 now and he's 17 close to 18 i think. Just so you know how old we are.

You are an adult and he is still a minor. I'd say forget him and move on.

Just be friendly. Just say something like "Hey! We haven't talked in a long time! How's it been going?" It'll get the conversation started, and then you can ask about coffee or hanging out or whatever.
