Let's say you CLICK on an advert on a website, the owner of the website which you were on will get paid a small amount by the owner of the site that the ad takes you to (automated payment) as you are a potential customer who may spend money.

there are a lot of people who want to publish their business, so they try to get their business famous on internet some of them pay to yahoo, google, bing, to get more visitors at their business websites, so when the random visitor click on link the webmaster earn for that click..
