I am commenting on Yahoo Articles and instead of my name coming up it says commenter.

Yahoo! doesn't give a flying frack about you or your online experience, only revenue. The current programmers working at Yahoo! couldn't get jobs at Google and are proving it every single day. With the recent parlor games fiasco, Yahoo! has sealed their coffin. After 14 years, they have alienated me and I am going elsewhere. I suggest you do the same, because pretty soon you will not be able to comment on Yahoo! articles any longer. Oh, you will still be able to post a comment, but not through your Yahoo! ID. It will be Facebook.

This is a temporary problem. Yahoo has been notified. We don't know when they will have it fixed but you have to wait. Some users are trying several different browsers to see if one of them allows their "name" instead of the vague "commenter". Someone will find a workaround but no one has posted one yet.

This is not an answer, merely a comment. For those of us who never wanted to sign up for Facebook, looks like yahoo is making it darn near impossible to navigate their site anymore without doing so...very unfortunate.
